This work was painted for my twin sister as a Christmas present. Both of us have deep love for animals especially babies. Ever since I watched a polar bear cub playing with a brown bear cub at the Anchorage zoo, I've been fascinated by polar bears. After watching the documentary , "Arctic Tales", I have been deeply concerned about the plight of the polar bear, and the diminishing ice cover. By painting a mother and her cub in an endearing scene, and illustrating ,"love", it is my hope that everybody who enjoys looking at this painting will be reminded of what a beautiful gift polar bears are. Being able to watch a live polar bear cub was truly a wonderful blessing that I will never forget!
